A day get-away

Across the froggy bay is our apartment...

Looking for a quite beach area where we can enjoy one day alone as family. When we moved to this country, we were told how important it is for us as a family to get away on  a regular basis (once or twice a month). Ten months in this country and we agree that even a day get-away is necessary for overall individual and family health. And what better place (in my opinion) than at the beach :) Or anywhere out in creation where there are so many less distractions and a sweet and simple connection with the Creator.  This is a day trip we took a couple months ago, I just forgot to post the pictures until now.

Interesting backroads - coming upon a tractor with a few friendly locals on board.

"I seen it! I seen it!" Hudson finds a place to explore.

And off we go!

seashell collecting...

There might have been a bit of tar-like substance on this part of the beach...

My 'boys' on a sand dune.

some funky drift-wood - reminds me of good-old days at Keystone lake...

The details of creation are amazing.

Oh crabs! On the dunes! We seen 'em!

funny litte creatures, running sideways and all :)

The boys were enthralled with them (and spent hours catching them and playing with them)

making bubbles.

Enjoying the cool water and quite area.

An inner-tube! Oh, no, wait...an old tire. Hmmm...we thinks it's for the crabs.

Stopping for kofte (like meatballs) after the beach.

My handsome hubby.

Our kofte cookers.
