I just picked the boys up from the Anaokul (preschool/ kindergarten). When asking Silas about what he ate for lunch his response was "Mom, there is something funny about me: I only eat things that look good. So I just ate bread today."
Apparently Silas got into a "fight" today with a classmate. According to Silas, the boy hit him first, and he hit back. So we had a Turkish lesson on how to say "stop" - "DUR"!
Silas' accomplishment was asking for "water" - "SU" when he got thirsty today.
The other day I ventured onto our balkon to hang up a sheet...you can see how that ended up below.
| Caleb retrieving our sheet from the tree.He had to use a mop handle to reach it. |
I'm starting to realize why I've been spending a lot of time in our kitchen (besides the fact that our boys are eating like horses lately). There are many things I don't know about this new culture and especially the language...so I suppose I'm doing more of what I know :)
Maybe I'll post some pics of the "fruit" of my kitchen-time later.
